movie, anyone?
Feb. 16th, 2004 05:52 pmlast night, dave and i were in the mood for old movies. so we rented a couple. one of them is all about eve, which i've seen several times and love and wanted to make him watch. and then i fell asleep in the middle of the other movie we rented. and falling asleep meant that i lost the privilege of inflicting my taste.
so now dave's gone back to knoxville, and i've got this movie that i practically know by heart... and it seems like a bit of a waste. so i thought i'd at least ask: anyone around cookeville want a free sub-rental? not due back until friday!
and, if anybody's really interested, i still plan to watch irma la douce, the one i fell asleep during... it's directed by billy wilder, the same guy who did both sunset boulevard and some like it hot -- a combination i can never quite mentally resolve as related. it stars shirley maclaine and jack lemmon... and i fell asleep because i was tired, not because it was bad! not so many guarantees of quality on this one, but i'd be willing to host a small-scale double-feature movie night one evening... anyone, anyone?
