might a simple pair of socks have saved our nation from the worst of the great depression? mostly just bookmarking it for my own purposes so i can go back and finish it later, but this article posits that calvin coolidge lost control of his presidency after falling into a big depression at the death of his son. historical psychology. lack of socks while playing tennis became blister became massive systemic infection became death became depressive president became major national problems. ouch.

i think this is mostly disturbing me because i never believed my mother's claims that blisters could kill you...

hey jenn!
