(no subject)

i didn't make it up to elkmont to see the synchronous fireflies in time. at least not according to the recommended dates to come out. i was quite disappointed.

but... i think they just might be doing some of the synchronized flashing here too! not on as large a scale, but it's pretty freaky. i went out to the mailbox, noticed out of the corner of my eye, thought it was fireworks until my brain put it all together. like christmas tree lights. wow. so amazing.

(that, or i'm tripping out from drinking some unfiltered tap water today. maybe i should put the brita pitcher back in the fridge now...)
