happy easter, lent is over!

dave and i just got back from our celebratory coffee and doughnuts run... (somewhat sadistically, he and his co-workers all decided each other's lenten disciplines. he got to give up doughnuts, cakes, and cookies. i was off caffeine.) the doughnuts were stale, and i guess i'll have to reacquire my taste for coffee, but we made it. i had a few chocolate-when-distracted slip-ups over the course of the season... but it decidedly killed the chemical addiction, which is what i was looking for.

and a quick survey question: when meeting your significant other's grandmother for the first time, is it more intimidating or less so if she's wearing a bunny suit?

I just need to congratulate you on making it this entire time. I totally failed at Lent this year, and gave up a long time ago.

as for meeting grandma, wow.. first off, does she know she's wearing a bunny suit? b/c if she doesn't, you're going to have a hard time not mentioning it. :)

thank you, thank you! but you gave yourself a near-impossible endeavor for lent if i remember correctly (no yummy food? and i had enough trouble avoiding chocolate!), so no shame in abandoning it!

and i guess we're not going, so no worries about bunnified grandmas. it was starting to make me identify a bit with anya, though :) the itty-bitty half a cup of coffee kept me up most of the night, and while i'm awake now and dave is too, i think that's his excuse, weak though it may be. (he likes his grandma, just hates big family gatherings.)
